Sleep paralysis
Sleep paralysis
Ok I have had sleep paralysis a number of times. Its when you wake up and you cannot move or say anything at all. Have anyone had this before? I had this happen to me last night. Has anyone ever heard about sleep paralysis? Its kinda scary cuz you feel vulnerable and weak.

Re: Sleep paralysis
OMG man, this happens to me all the time, I didn't know there was a name for it! Boy, do I hate it! It's so scary, you see things and you know you're awake, but you can't move or anything! Really horrible.

Yep! People say they have been abducted by aliens when this happens. Last night when I had this paralysis I was in my room by myself. I heard someone or something tearing up paper right by my bed. Damn I tried to yell for help but it was no use. The funny thing was I didn't see nothing.Cowboy Is Cool wrote: OMG man, this happens to me all the time, I didn't know there was a name for it! I think this is bad. Also when you stop breathing for a few seconds and it wakes you up and you are trying to catch your breath. I remember one time I slept over my arm and it became numb, at the same time I had had a nightmare that my arm had been chopped off, so when I woke up and didn't feel my arm in the middle of the night, I freaked out.

Re: Sleep paralysis
Its as if the mind loves to scare you...how freaky is that?
I've had that scare before...and it's always after a scary dream...but how about this similar scenario: you're whole body is in that sleep mode but your eyes are slightly open...you can see somethings around you and you think that you're dreaming...yet you try to move or scream but you can't...you're totally paralyzed! yikes! I studied Sleep and Dreams however that was a long time ago...and I guess thats the problem with school...eventually you forget...ANYWHO...its such a big mystery...but its something that can be researched...definitely its something we really want to know!
But in response to your post, Lions, somethings your dreams associate with whats going around you while you sleep! yikes again!

Yes I do believe that as well. I haven't been at peace with myself for a while, I do miss my happy days.

It's definitely a crazy thing, I haven't experienced it since I was a kid and man was I freaked. I could see and think but not move at all. My heart practically ripped out of my chest I was so scared.

Re: Sleep paralysis
I have read that somethings that happen to you at night, like during your sleep, are to keep your body in check. Nightmares and paralysis are like shocks that go through your body to keep you blood flowing and your organs working.
