Dude, it's the lyrics to The End of the World As We Know It, by REM. The song is just a rambling commentary on the state of affairs during the cold war, when everyone thought they would die at any second. I figured that someone would recognize it, given how it's exceedingly popular.

No, I'm not scared of the Mayan Prophecy. I fear the end of the world by other means, but none of them will come into being for many, many years. I just figured that I'd post that song as a lighthearted jab at apocalypse hysteria. Nobody recognized it though
