The scariest thing I have seen recently was this thread descending into a stupid debate over regdates and postcounts for no good reason other than that someone decided to point out that this was a duplicate thread. Even though I have no idea what you're going on about because I haven't seen a thread like this in months. Seriously, can we all get back to discussing scary things? And can everyone stop constantly pointing out duplicate threads unless it's super-obvious? You know, like a similar thread being on the same page, which is obviously not the case here.

An addition to the thread on my part would have been the gunshots I heard last night. I was just sitting here, being my good old lazy self. It was about ten or so at night. Suddenly, I hear several sharp cracks and a scream down the street. The second I heard it I knew what it was, so I just ducked and waited for the sirens. I'm watching the morning news show right now, and there is no mention of it, so I'm going to assume that nobody got hit. The only time you see gunfire get reported on in this city is when someone gets hurt by it.

Hamilton isn't that bad, I go there at least once a week and I've never seen anything worse than a couple kids smoking and drinking by the skateboard park. Although I've never been outside of downtown.

I live in Hamilton, and it's not a very nice place. If you've only ever been downtown during the day, that's why you have a good impression of it. I live on the Mountain, which is pretty much the new ghetto. I hear gunshots on a near weekly basis (never as close as last night though), I have nearly been stabbed more times than I care to count, I've been shot at because someone thought I was a drug dealer, I regularly see people walking down the street in broad daylight with guns (including an assault rifle, on one occasion), almost everyone in my area is on welfare and alcoholic, and there are three gangs in my general area (The Bloods, The East Side Killaz, and some all-Asian gang), all engaged in near open warfare with each other.

In conclusion, come hang out by Upper Gage and the Linc after dark sometime, then say Hamilton isn't that bad.

Another Scary thing that has happened to me was, I was at my freinds house and we were playing Xbox and the eletric went out, and all you hear is someone screaming outside. We looked out the window and nothing. The eletric came back on and we resumed playing games, and the phones lost service and the water didnt work. And again we hear another scream outside. We look outside and nothing. So we decided to go to bed after everything came back on.
