I don't know if there are many fans of the Punisher here but they started filming the new Punisher film now and I for one can't wait it features Micro this time (Frank Castle's sidekick) played by Wayne Knight (I would have replaced him for Kevin Smith myself being a View Askew junkie) and the best part is Tom Jane has been canned and they have a new face for Frank, Ray Stevenson I think is his name and he was in the series Rome... Never watched it but he looks enough like Frank to play him, anyway I'm waiting real bad for the first teaser.

YES! Thank God they canned Jane! Alot of people liked him, but I thought he wasn't ruthless enough. If you read the comics, you should know what I mean. I'm glad he filmed the Mist instead.

Isn't the villian supposed to be Jigsaw in this one?

I just hope it's as good as the 1st one.

I'm not sure if it is Jigsaw or not but damn I wanna see the ruthless side of Frank, curb stomps cutting guard dogs throats and killing a hundred and something year old man, I hope this is like the max series.

You ever read "Welcome Back, Frank"? That was some brutal crap right there! Some of my favorite Punisher moments were from that story arc, like the fight with the Russian.

I didn't find that one too violent, "In the begining" was my favourite just cause of the sheer brutality Frank murders a man who is on his 101st birthday (not sure on the number but it was over 100) and then lays into the other mobsters with a big big machine gun that and "Born" remain my two favourites and I was reading a rather recent one where Frank murders a "gangsta" *shudders* i spelt it with an "a" i feel so terrible anyway back on topic... he has one cornered and he pulls the gun on him sideways (very stupid) frank blows him away and says "they put the sights ontop for a reason"/

Ha! I have to read some of those.

How about Mother Russia? Frank gets his hands on a gatling gun and just blows everybody apart, literally. That one was great, but really short.

Yeah.  That part was really unnecessary, but the violence was incredible. The soldiers were just blowing up, their insides were everywhere... it was a true Punisher comic!

what are you guys talking about? I thought Jane was an incredible Frank, of course he wasn't ruthless because the character was just getting into his groove, if Jane was in the next one it would be a different story.

I remember thinking about how awesome it was seeing all those soldiers torn apart, another good scene i thought which was more serious was in "Born" where he leads a squad in 'Nam (the true origins which should be in the films but never seem to be) and ends up feeling the need to punish the guilty like when one of his men decides to rape a female sniper with broken legs and he comes up and puts a bullet in her head to put her out of her misery and tells the soldier "We're here to kill.. and that's all" then when the solider is washing the brains out of his face Frank puts his boot on the guys head and drowns him, and the finale is awesome i won't ruin it but i recommend to check it out if your a fellow punisher fan.

im kind of bumed that jane isnt coming back, he fit the roll perfect to me!

Idealy it would be Henry Rollins playing Frank that would just be awesome.

So true, funny thing is Hank has said in interview he hates guns so I guess Ray is the next best thing to Mr. Rollins, another thing is Henry has been one of my favourites in all music for a long time (I even bought Def Jam: Fight For N.Y. because he was in it) and my mom's friend knows him and funnily enough he listens to way different music than you would think, apparantly he had Jessica Simpson on his Ipod, wouldn't make him any less badass though and I wouldn't wanna mess with him.
