Here are a few of mine:
Carnation Breakfast Bars.
Rondo. It was a lightly carbonated citrusy soft drink, ligher than Mountain Dew
Dodge Intrepid cars. We had one, loved it, and now they don't make them anymore.
Cherry Loves Cheesecake flavor at Cold Stone Creamery.
Coke made with sugar instead of corn syrup. Actually, you can get this at the Mexican grocery store, if the Coke was bottled in Mexico. You do have to check the label though, because they're starting to use corn syrup too. I think they also use sugar in Canada.
USA's Night Flight. This was a TV show on the USA Network that played obscure videos that were too "out there" for MTV, long before MTV had 120 Minutes for videos like that. They also played clips from bizarre cartoons and movies, and sometimes had interviews with cutting edge musicians. Talking Heads and Art of Noise were about as mainstream as they got!
Not Necessarily the News. This was a parody of a news program that showed on HBO, and was compeletely hilarious. Think of "The Onion" as a TV program instead of a newspaper. OK, now picture it 20 years before the Onion did it.
As you can see, a lot of my life has revolved around refreshments and entertainment.
What do you miss?
