Re: new stuff
What Scurvy Dog said. We could really use something like that, and it would make things much easier than the current "Hey, is that guy banned?" "I dunno, yo, you know if he's banned?" "One sec.... okay, no contact info in his profile. Check his recent posts..." etc etc.
Other than that I can't really think of much else that the site could use. It's pretty great as is. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing.

Re: new stuff
i agree bud, a banned list should be in order and maybe a warning system to, if ppl dont follow the rules or come here just for a joke or make topics just to boost their rank of stuff that has been discussed plenty of times i think the idea is good to have a banned list.

Yeah, GR99 is right. I always thought of this place as the "Mecca" for all warriors sites. It just keeps getting better, and better. I am sure there are some nice suggestions, but the place inevitable just gets better, and better.

Re: new stuff
karma was a good thing a while back, but then people started to ask for it and just give it for pointless things.$now4Ever wrote: i liked karma but maybe only people with over 500 or 600 posts.

Re: new stuff
Because that just creates more work for the mods? I was here for the tail end of karma, and it was causing much more drama than it was worth.swan_jax wrote: yeah but if people complain why dont they just get an instant ban.
I think a "posts of the month" type thing highlighting the best posts on the forum might be a good idea, possibly to be implemented in it's own section on the forums? I don't want to make any more work for WC and his crew, but if a few other people were assigned to take care of that and only have them be allowed to post threads in that forum, I think it could work. Other people would be allowed to post replies. I think that this is possible under the forums software, but again, if this would be an absurd amount of work to implement than ignore me.
I do think that it would be a nice way of rewarding good posters. I can think of a few people whom I've wanted to reward somehow for amazingly good posts but couldn't.
Re: new stuff
back in the day, people of warrior status (250+ posts) could give or take away (thus leading into negative points) karma points, it was a way of showing good posters from bad. The Decline of karma points was when a group of "NewBloods" became of Warrior status and brought revenge upon the "Warriors" of our beloved forum. Chaos broke loose and karma was taken away and the forum also received a face lift. Since then the forum has been improving itself everyday with most new members taking this place seriously. Although there is still "Hoodlums" The Warriors Forum is a great place to chat and take part of intellectual activities. I will admit the last couple months have been bad for me on the forum but I am on a road to recovery, rather, "Forum Rehab".stevo2k6 wrote: what is karma??????????

Re: new stuff
You know what annoys me, when a pack of wolves attack some poor new guy about his thread that was previously given a go. Not a mod or two, but ten soldiers barely past 100 posts who clearly see that 5 other members have already made the "dude, use the search..." post. Anyway, not a big deal, just don't like seeing bullys. And really, that's one of the mod jobs and we should leave it to them. Besides, if it's really a worn topic, they can delete it. Peace
