I'm not a fan of the Essentials, what with the lousy paper, less than stellar reproductions, and LACK OF COLOR!!

Masterworks (and Omnibus Editions, which is three masterworks in one, plus letters pages and extras) on the other hand, are the way to go

Additionally, there are the numerous bound editions of original material that I've commissioned...

im kinda re-grabbing the uk marvel recollection issues that panini do. i always used to get might world of marvel starring daredevil and the hulk and ive got a few again. theyre nice prints and the daredevil ones are both 60's strips and frank miller stuff. just got one that has issue 182 and an old one with spiderman in it.

started collecting fantastic four adventures one recently as its only up to #5

thanks for the tips about the essentials though :/

And, now that Marvel is re-releasing the Masterworks in softcover, you can get 'em all as cheap as Essentials, but in full color with the best reproduction values

Just finished issue #72 of The Walking Dead, now i'm at the present issue can't decide whether to wait another 6 years for 72 more issues or get in monthly.

I would go for the monthly option, who knows if you're still going to like comics in 6 years time, lol!

Just read Zombies feast, first issue was good then it wen't straight downhill. The drawings and the story got worse and worse as each issue went on.

shame, the issue i read looked like it had some potential but i could see its flaws.

however i got my copy of watchmen today and ive read the first chapter and its awesome - the perfect compliment to soul destroying a level revision.
