The Warriors Movie Site Forum

This has been an idea that has been banging around since the dawn of the forum - a 1970's style NYC gang RPG.

I've done a little research - how does it work?

There would be a new forum which you sign up to where all the boards are divided into different locations in New York - e.g. Tremont, Gun Hill, Coney Island etc etc etc. and each location would be home to a number of different gangs using the long list from the movie script. You would sign up, give your name, the gang you are affiliated with and then you can go to the different parts of the city "posting up" your stories, or burning tags if you so wish. Of course, an RPG requires your imagination and so it requires you to be in your "gang character" all the time.

I guess there could be web pages for each of the gangs, with named leaders and you can go out on brawls and stuff on different turf.

I think these RPGs work like "interactive fan fiction" where you post what you are doing in that turf, or stories about what you have done.

If I am to set this up, could someone give me some more ideas as to how this would work?  8)

sounds interesting. I never was much of an RPer. I'm not fond of wrestling RPers that pretend to be wrestlers, but this sounds solid

Sounds like a good idea. Although most people would probably want to be in the Warriors, go to the Coney section as well. So maybe a restriction on that or something along those lines. But do you mean like say I was in  Gunhill, I could go into Soho, write a fan fic story, or perhaps post a sig-like post and then thats kinda me making my mark, getting the Gunhill rep up? And we just compete to be the best gang? If so I'll be the first to sign up. Oh and one more thing. Like Kartoons idea but slightly different. cowboy rules - Leader of the Riffs  :p :p

I've actually been working on an RPG using a pen and paper system, but it hasn't been working out due to having to pay for all the good systems. I'm in if this happens.

Can we pick our owm group of friends to be affiliated, or in a gang? Can we make our own one, that is warrior related Ex: The warbloods.  If its possible i would like to be heavy muscle in the warriors, or tagger.
