I personally am against it for the following reasons:
a) They seem like they are totally going to ruin it.
b) I cannot even start to picture another ajax or swan.
c) and if they change the members names or anything it will totally mess things up
d) Putting real gang members in the film is a bad influnce, as well as false advertising and a form of encouragement
e) Can any of us imagine any of the famous lines sounding any diffirent>? lol
plz post what you think cos i wanna know if im the only one that thinks they are gonna make fools out of the warriors. :doubt:

well man i personally will go see it (or watch on dvd) but i am against it but i will definalty see what it awas like

well it seems 're-make' is wrong, they're not doing it exactly the same. There's not a Swan or an Ajax or a Mercy etc in it... apparently. Theres new names, slight character changes and stuff... this is just what ive heard at least. not sure whether its set in the same time, or will be the 'modern version' type film.

they might as well just make it its own movie, and call it something else and not cause 'hype' coz theres been hundreds of gang films, and hundreds of characters like that since 1979.

Quite Fankly i dont know what they're doing with it, must just be using the warriors as a foundation, or a bandwagon to help it sell.

If anything i hope thats true, for their sakes. There are some things you just cant duplicate without ruining the magic...and this is one of those things!

yeh i personally would go and see it too just to see what its like, though i cant help thinking were all gonna be dissapointed.

I'm going to watch it but I hope they don't ruin the legacy of the The Warriors movie by bring out some junk Bloods and Crips with Tec 9 and AK-47 its going to be horrible.

I'm against it i mean that's what all the new movie's are remakes of old and good flicks they remade The Hitcher and then The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and now there even gonna do Halloween this has to stop it's kinda ruining old film's reputation and The Warrior's remake sounded horrible when i first found out about it and what are they gonna remake next huh Rocky or even Scarface(Again).

the only thing that the new warriors is going to have in common with the 1979 film is the nam f the flm its in ive already put my view on i aint repeating myself but it kinda isnt a remake

I'm gonna check it out. Once in awhile a remake will surprise me. But not that often.

There are a lot of great movies and stage plays that get remade. Sometimes the remake is good, sometimes it stinks and can't do the original justice at all. It would be interesting to see what a young crop of actors could do with it, but  original will always be the best!   

I'm a bit against it. I would see it on dvd (I would rent it) to see how they made it bad, but other than that, yeah.

I have a feeling that it might be too removed from the original film to really warrant any kind of backlash. I think it'll go the "Dawn of the Dead" route and take the basic premise and do something else with it. Either way, it won't have the raw awesomeness of its big daddy.
