Yeah, the guy in the directors cut said he did that on purpose. And supposedly no one got hurt!   But you should explain what you mean a little better then that.

Yeah, I saw that and thought WTF? But yeah, very good way to avoid running into someone. I doubt real gangs would do that though. They would just act like cockroaches and scatter.

I only noticed after I saw the director's cut commentary on how they did the conclave scene.  It had been about 7 or 8 years at least since I saw the movie last, but  recently I borrowed the  Ultimate Director's cut version off a friend and this was the first time I have seen the film on DVD. They did a great job with the new comic style  features, but fundamentally it's the same classic movie from 1979!

Like others on here, it wasnt untill i watched the documentry where they explained that everyone was told to run in a circle, and the next row run the opposite way, that i noticed.  The use of the various cameras make the scene look like a disorganised panic, even though in reallity, its completly the opposite.  My point of focus is usually on the warriors. It shows how good a director walter hill was, back in the day.

How long is the guy above me going to last??  Could this be another one to add to SHM's collection?

It doesen't seem like the scramble after the shooting was meant to be the focal point in that scene, the focus is more on Luther's announcement that "The Warriors shot Cyrus" and the cofrontation between Cleon and the Riffs. It's a pretty chaotic scene at any rate, no matter what you are looking at.

yeah for a second, I thought the post meant they did that through out the whole movie  Yeah the guy on the interview, said it kept it organized, so everything would run smoothly.
