I had heard a rumor, unsubstantiate of course, that Rockstar Games will make a new video game sequel, and technically the first "sequel", to THE WARRIORS universe.

I figure that the people that would know best are folks on these stomping grounds...I mean, thats what New Blood would expect, right?

Anyway, the rumored plot supposed was this:

After that one night in the summer of 1979, things cool down, and now its spring 1980. Swan runs the Warriors, Mercy is his squeeze, the situation in the city has in regular daily, but insignificant gang warfare, the Warriors consolidate their territory and enlist more troopers under the banner.

Meanwhile, an unpopular American President, desperate to win re-election in November, decides a good sign of effective Law & Order for the populace will be for a massive task force army of Federal personel: FBI, ATF, DEA, etc., to destroy the out of control gangs in New York City once and for all.

The gangs of NYC once before were on the cusp of uniting under a single leader. Now, they'll be forced to unite, or be bopped out of the streets, with The Warriors in the front lines.

If the rumors were true, along with the supposed sequel game plot....I like it. Nothing super creative, but its a plot worth working with.

I would set the game directly after Ajax comes out of prison and tries to take over the running of the gang and a power struggle ensues. Meanwhile everyone has now heard how good the Warriors are and wants to take their reputation. So many conscepts for another game

The rumour started on wikipeedia. It said there would be a sequel in 07 called "the homecoming". Don't know if its true.
I think if there was a sequel it should be like the original, but with strategy/management bits to it. How cool would it be to manage your own gang and take over NYC. The plot is easy, Cyrus is dead, the truce is off and the territory is all up for grabs.

Billy Boy, in addition to that rumored game sequel plot, I would have that as well, since I think we would agree that Ajax's personality is such that he can't accept authority from Swan...or as swiftly as anyone else would.

that sounds pretty good it will be fun to play it will probably bring loads of new game heads here though saying "do you remember the part in the film where casper (a new warrior ) wasted an FBI agent 

Imagine if you played as Luther, while he's first in The Rogues. You find out while he has a lot of power, he still answers to a boss. You find out how his whole idea of killing Cyrus came to be. And you could take the gang and drive around in the hearse.

i would so have to get that on the day it came out, well thats if this is not just a rumour

I THINK IT IS JUST RUMORS. THEY WILL WAIT FOR THE NEW MOVIE.

Although Iv Herd Alot Of Rumours About Sequels...
Im Not Gonna Get To Excited Unless It Comes From Rockstar.

rockstar made all the greats(GTA mainly) so they have to make a warriors sequel. Plus it would be cool to see what happened to everyone after their name was cleared.

If there truly is a god they will make a sequel.

I heard that the sequel might be a PSP only game.  I could be wrong of course, I hope I am, seeing as I do not have a PSP, but who knows?

i think that is wrong, im pretty sure there just porting the oringinal to the psp 

That would be fine if they did that as long as they come out with something new for consoles.  That's all I ask.
