Hi to all

Hi guys and gals,
My name is Lance, and as a kid growing up I loved this film along with The Wanderers, I used to put them on all the time.

I'm now a film maker, and would love to do some sort of hybrid film with them both mixed in. I can see an opening chase sequence with The Baseball Furies chasing a young man, every time he thinks he's lost them he looks over his shoulder and see's them gaining ground.

He gets to a point in a park where the Baseball Furies stop and just look at him smiling (they won't cross the border as there's a truce with another gang).

He's smiling getting cocky, as he knows they won't come and get him, but they watch on as unbeknown to the runner, either the Skinheads, Baldies, or Ducky Boys have come from behind him and basically they beat him to a pulp.

I could see the opening chase sequence taking place with the nice track "Tick of the clock" by the Chromatics, which was featured in Drive recently.

Anyone know who now owns the rights to The Warriors?

Most probably something I could not afford, but would like to know.

Anyway, thanks for listening

Paramount Pictures own the rights, but good luck getting them to reply to you about obtaining a license, I've been trying since January. For what it's worth here's the address:

Paramount Pictures Licensing Division
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038
USA.

Good luck!

dam, paramount ;-( companies like this would rather sit on it and let it rot, rather than let anyone else do something with it ;-( happens a lot with other scripts and novels. They buy the rights and put it away in a draw to never see the light of day.

Could still do a fan film if we all chipped in, lol.

There appear to be quite a few fan films out there (take a look on YouTube) and I'm pretty sure these have been completed without a licence. My situation's a little different as I'l definitely need a licence to move forward, don't give up,I haven't.
