Come out to play!

Hey there folks,
Being the newest member to the board and feeling every bit of it and not certain what to say, I'll just give a bottle clangin' shoutout to the other members. Bit about myself: Born and raised in NY, got my 1st taste of The Warriors as a kid seeing the trailers of it on TV when it was coming out to theaters in '79. I always remember the opening lines... "These are the armies of the night"..., and beggin' the folks to take me to see it. I never did get them to take me but later in my teenage years I rented the movie with some friends and from the on I was hooked. And still over the decades I can still say without a doubt it's the best gang related movie ever made! I never knew there were so many others who felt the same way I did about the film. So count me in as an ever lovin' Warrior lover. ~Peace out and God Bless~.

Yeah, welcome. It's always good to see a new member who isn't advertising the latest series of CSI or True Blood. ;D

That wouldn't do any good against the Turnbull AC's tho. ::) Welcome to the site!

I actually have the switchblade comb. Funny thing is sometime back my wife found it in a draw and was wondering what the heck I was doing with a switchblade. I told her honey, do I really have to tell you about my gang life on the side. I immediately flipped it open revealing the comb, before she pulled a Turnbull AC on my arse! ~Peace out and God Bless~.

Went to a convention in Orlando several weeks back. It was moreso a horror convention and the place was packed for three days straight with fans and actors who were signing. Anyway one of the days I wore a Warriors shirt with Cochise's name on the verso. My wife had one that she wore on a different day of the show. Needless to say, maybe 50 times or more during the course of that show we could hear folks calling "Hey Warriors, come out to playyyaaaa~ as we walked by. And this was a horror convention with folks dressed to the hilt in zombie makeup, etc. Seems the Warriors even get a warm response at shows like these. ~Peace out and God Bless~.

Ya, I am not too surprised. "The Warriors" has a definite eerieness to it imho. It's like a squad of
desperate heroes trying to make it out of some hellish nightmare. It really is a great movie for
Halloween I think.

Yeah my wife was pretty surprised when she was wearing her Warriors shirt and some guy started clangin' bottles together when she passed by. Pretty good show overall, though would have been nice had they had a few cast members from The Warriors, but they did have some big names from Horror movies such as John Carpenter, Robert Englund (Freddy), Kane Hodder (Many of the Jason's in Friday the 13th), etc, etc. They even had Ace Frehley from Kiss there. ~Peace out and God Bless~.

That would have been "chill" to meet them, but it's a couple of thousand miles out of my way. I
wonder if this will come to LA. Was it just for Halloween weekend?
