How did the gangs know where they'd find the warriors.

This was always on my mind when watching the movie.

Now I know the news of Cyrus being shot was broadcast to all the gangs of New York so they would of been on the lookout for The Warriors but how was it Gangs just happened to be there when the warriors were on their turf. I know it's a movie I shouldn't be thinking about it too much

Turnbull Ac's- I an udnerstand it if peple say "The Turnbulls were obviously patrolling their turf looking out for The Warriors" I get that but for the Warriors to just happen to run in to them is  big coincidence.

The Orphans- The Orphans didn't even know about the conclave so I can put up with them being where The Warriors are cus they don't even know WHY The Warriors are there still for them to come out of the train station and BANG the Orphans are right there watching over them from the rooftops.

The Furies- Out of all the train stations bat wielding maniacs could pick they pick that one, is that the only train station in that area they could be bothered watching, no other furies are seen patrolling just all of them flipping their bats waiting there....crazy.

The Punks- Swan is walking in the subway, how can a gang know they are there?
You just see a guy come round in skates following him, how long has he been waiting to find one guy in a red leather vest, he musta been going round in circles thenjust got lucky when Swan arrived.

The Riffs- Yes they had that informant tell them who actually shot Cyrus and yes they knew Coney Island was Warrior turf, but out of the whole of Coney Island they just happen to appear on the beach where The Warriors are and Luther with a knife in his arm.

My question is how did the gangs know the warriors would show up where they did and how was it just a coincidence that Orphans happened to be all watching out for gangs by a train station when they didnt even know anything was going down that night.

Well, about The Turnbull AC's, Furies and Punks, they were waiting for them... and the route was (approximately) only one... so...
Also By Intuition, I would add. "Street Intuition".

Plus, The orphans were simply "monitoring" their turf and The Riffs "HAD" to find them. I mean, maybe they (by car) already were in Coney... waiting for The Warriors and the real "snake in the grass"... and then...

Anyway, Good Question, I've to say!!!
But, don't forget it's the Movie... I mean, sometime, the best answer is: "It's the Movie!!!" If you know what I mean.

PS: What about The Lizzies??? ;)

I would have to say knowing where the conclave was held and everybody knew the Warriors were from Coney from the radio braodcast, that any gang that could read a subway map knew that they would have to pass through there area to get home.

I just thought that they were all on the look out for the Warriors and just happened to run up on them during their patrols...

I had never considered this either Scurvy Dog....the Warriors being shadowed by a reconnaissance patrol originating from the scuffle with the Orphans...it makes a lot of sense and you do have to consider the people coming to the Riffs and giving them inside info on the matter.

the guy who did it wasnt he a dealer i remember him on the warriors video game but anyway the main post ummmmm the orphans just hangout around tremont and the baseball furies i didnt see them at he meating they probably just herd about them on the radio and wanted to get a real big rep by taking them out and the turnbull acs was on patrol because in order to get back  they had to get on that train because it was the closest to the conclave at the time and the lizzies herd that the other gangs didnt get them so they must have known where they was going next because they were at the enemy gangs turf and the punks herd about them on the radio and the leader came acros swan on a quincidence and the rogues was monotoring coney isldand and if your wondering how the knew they was from coney island the women on the radio said " this is a message from the gramercy riffs to that out fit from coney, the warriors and i do meen, the warriors" so thats my guess

They were waiting for them on subways, streets and other places where they pass to Coney. Real simple. You can see Turnbulls how they lookin' for the Warriors in bus at the subway.

But...
...

How Furies know they'll come near the Riverside Park? The Warriors just waiting for train but somehow cops shown and when they go out to street, Furies were there?

But hey... 100 gangs lookin' for the Warriors in one city! They would find them easily...

He didn't look feminine to me.  He had kind of a boyish face, but whatever the case, if a member doesn't look that tough, be careful.  He might just be the most dangerous!

Was it the chics or was it the cold beers that got the Warriors to follow the Lizzies like sheep to the slaughter? Does anyone remember my post about getting thirsty after all of that running? I think it was the cold beers...see I was right after all. They were so thirsty after all of that running that they were almost out of their minds and all they could think about was getting some cold beers and it almost cost them their lives.

Didn't I see Rembrandt sipping on a cold one...you know he wasn't worried about "laying down any strange wool"...it was the cold beers...the guy was thirsty and it almost cost him his life. Well it got him stabbed by one of those freaky chics. You could tell they were freaky when the guys first saw them. I mean they looked kind of scary to me. The word "hot" didn't even enter my mind.
