i think because the new warriors movie has nothing to do with the ACTUALY GOOD ORIGINAL they will cut the furies and make the Football Thrashers but we will be even lucky for face painted gangs in this one and it takes place in LA all were going to get now is stupid kids new kids swarming us saying the new movie is better when they havent even seen it. now i'm 15 And that is my favorite movie but a remake Cmon leve a perfected idol were it stands

I think a remake is a huge mistake so I like to know I'm not the only one thinking that.

it will be dyre as most awful hollywood remakes have been recently, and nothing dark and retro like 1978 new york
the new film is trying to almost disrespect the old cast that did it and just say 'that was rubbish it looks old' I am just going to see how bad it will be
I am scared that people who havent watched the origional and will watch this will forget about the proper version

I don't actually see how they can replicate the furies as something else, the main reason why they are very scary is beacause of all the weird makeup, jerseys and horrificly fast pace

Just don't think of it as a remake.

Let's be honest no matter what they did, they are never going to better the original, that's impossible. Even if they set it in 1970's NYC they still wouldn't have the characters fromthe original.

As it is going to be set in modern LA just look at it as a totally unrelated film, which it is really, even if it sucks it can't take anything from the original, it's place in history is secure.

i'll see the movie for sure, but i'm not getting my hopes up cause i'm sure it'll be a let down compared to the original.

Like most remakes, this flick will flop as well.

Define flop? IMO Wether or not it lives up to the standard of the 1979 movie fans (which it won't) it will still be box office hit. Todays youth is caught up in the wannabe gang member scene. it shows in the clothes they wear,the music they listen to.

Here are a few predictions I have.

Ive said this before, but Im sure that everyone of us will be first in line wether were for or against it. Every person who even remembers the name Warriors will go see it.
Every person who has the Video game will go see it.
It will open huge as #1 movie for its weekend ( reguardless if its good or not)
There will be scores of new age Warriors fans who never have seen the 1979 movie :doubt:
There will be a Warriors 2 video game based on the new movie.
There will be alot of other merchandise sold. Hats,shirts,figures,posters,soundtracks etc.
Its just big of a oppertunity to make $ to be a flop
Lastly I think the movie just might be good 

I also hate to say but I bet there will be much violence at theaters on opening weekend.

Flop is another word for crappy movie!

Difficult to say if the movie will be a flop or not, we don't know enough about it.

But whether it does well financially doesn't mean to say it's any good, it could make millions at the theatres and could still be a rubbish film.

I will go and watch it, but I just look at it as a totally new film and will try not to compare it with the original.

You never know it might be enjoyable.

Yeah, its difficult to say if the movie will be a flop, beacuse people usually says that would be a crap (i apologize for that word). Why??? Well, directors are sometimes wrong when they wanted to shot the remake. They blow up everything, legendary movie.
