Where were the rest of the Warriors' gang when they finally

At the beginning of the movie (the deleted scene) when Cleon tells them that they are the chosen nine to go to the conclave I assumed that there were more Warriors back at Coney Island to help them out when they got back. Has anyone else considered this?

I think everyone already considered this. So, remember to use the search button, even if, I've to say, I searched for this topic in the proving Grounds and File Not Found. Well flashman, you cannot consider the deleted scenes like a part of the Movie. I mean, and don't misunderstand me, they were... but if  Walter Hill cut them, I think he knew what he was doing. What I mean is that he wanted The Warriors to be alone... it was a sorta War against other Gangs, the City and theirselves.

....although, if you want a rationale for the film's ending: The meet probably took place on Saturday night.  Even if you're not going to be in Church, there are few places more deserted than a city street at 6 am on a Sunday morning.

The other 110 or so members of the street family (if you wanna keep the deleted scene in) were probably sleeping off the previous night's activities.

Howzat?

They were probably out of duty. I agree with The Swan. Walter Hill wanted Warriors to be alone... If Warriors had reinforcements, they got wreck every gang. It's more interesting movie with nine Warriors.

yeah i mean, they wanted it to be more of a struggle, with just 9 to start with then lose their leader at the beggining which was a big loss so early in the movie.

the more of the struggle the more intense the film would be

Maybe the rest of the warriors gang were just in the hangout and had no idea what had happened at the meet and what had happened to their fellow nine warriors

I'd have a Question now: didn't The Other Warriors listen to (yeah, if they got one, but I just think so!!!) that Gang Radio, to the DJ Words??? If you know what I DO MEAN!!! 8)

Hey Ajax7, no need to say sorry... every Opinion is anyway Welcome!!!

So, "coming back" to the Main Topic, I'm also thinking Walter Hill Just "Left Out" this "Little Detail". Don't misunderstand me, it's not a sorta Blopper, it's something like: "Even if all of us Know very well there should be Other Warriors (120+), it's better (like I said in my Post above) The Warriors "are/were" Alone". It makes The Movie Cooler!!! ... and yeah, this is True!!!

The Radio, The Others, why and I quote WHY They weren't waiting for them... and all the rest... I mean, FOGGERABAUDIT!!! 8)
