Change the buttons. Add the piping and patches, you think it could be a good replica. Looks the correct color and even looks differnt in the lights and shot. What do you think?

I like how narrow the top is:

but, is it too narrow to fit the top rocker?

here's the stats:

Length: 22 1/2

Chest: 42

Shoulder: 12

You are correct. It was late lastnight when I was looking. I should have looked more in to it. How is the color tho?

i especially like the darkened area under the armpit, so if you get this, you'll need to keep rubbing yer pits all over it fer several months!

Just rub some oil on it and vintage it a little. too bad the rocker wouldn't fit

Depends on your height; you can use the older warriorcleon patches.  His rocker was approx 9" long.  They look ok on small size vests but too small on adult size.

When I got my vest, it was stiff as cardboard, and looked like a football

I applied copious amounts of (highly-recommended!) 100% pure (only!) Neatsfoot oil, once a week for a few weeks, prior to the conclave

the before / after is incredible - it doesn't even look like the same vest...

Its not going to hurt your pocket at that price and it looks retro.  I like how there are no horizontal seams.

speaking of seams, ill state the obvious - there are too many. again, at that price its still well worth it

Just trying to post some that won't cost a fortune and are CLOSE (I use that sparingly) to the original.

the piping is the hard part- since we'll soon get that, all we need is a vest template, and rolls of smooth drapable leather, and someone to sew it all

simple!

As I have said in another post, EAST GATE owns the "template" for that vest (unless it has run out) so while I will be making the piping, I cannot make the vests (even tho my leather guy can make it). I think we will run in to trouble with PARAMOUNT etc. But yes 4NIK8, you are right, it is THAT simple.
