Gangbanger: I'll attempt at getting some comparable photos up tomorrow, to explain what i mean with the differences. No issue with the warbird; its the rocker.
While we're on the subject of this cochise vest, who are you in relation to Save Hollywood props?

Now that I no longer own the vest, i'll refrain from sharing my opinion on the debate of the patches/rocker but I will just say that I still don't feel that it's correct to conclude either way when their isn't any hard proof or first hand knowledge of the situation. Pictures of anything are very misleading however close-up they may be and that isn't conclusive enough for me.

My relationship with savinghollywood.com is strictly a proffessional one. They made me a fair offer that I couldn't refuse and we both are happy with the deal. That's all I'm able to say other than to confirm they now own my former "Cochise" vest and that they place their props and costumes in museums for fans to be able to see them close up.

Previous owner payed just under 7grand $. Wanted 10 grand for it but open to offers over 8. Can speculate from those figures.

So, what you're saying is US$40K is quite a mark-up then? If I could find anyone stupid enough to pay 40K for my "only" known survivor vest, I would bite their hand off for it!! This is the one sold by the chap who made those exhaustive (exhausting) YouTube videos, right? Did we ever go definitive on the authenticity of the patch/vest combo?

Yes, that's the same vest. As far as I'm aware, the only thing original about the patches is (they stated) they found the place who manufactured them in 78 to make the replicas.
I'll be looking as close as I can at the Plato vest at the uk conclave, as I'm convinced both patch sets were made at the same time. The stains and aging on the patch look too fake; especially compared to the brightness of the rocker IMO.
