I'm with you SHM, a while back, when I was around a Furie rank, I thought we should only tell people what they want to hear. That aint right. If you think somethin' aint good, then tell the person, they could benefit from it. Also, if they ask for opinions they have to expect to get bad ones from people who actually think the thing is bad. And if you say somethin' bad about someone else's product you have to be able to take it back.SHM wrote: umm, no!
we're arguing, because when we did voice our "asked for" opinions, we got in trouble!
sorry, guys!
but i'm with you, Dave!
i p*ss everybdoy off, sooner, or later!
so, what do i care!!
i dont fault the man!
(never did!)
i do however, fault the product!
sorry, man!
it's lame!
and if ya wanna get technical, it's the lamest of all the vest's we've seen!
sorry, but it's the truth!
and Dave's right!
the only topic, about vest's that got locked, was the mondo-tee's one!
why?
ya know, we've been ripping Dales vest's since he started making them, and nobody ever had a problem with that!
again, why?
and Alex, did a little rippin on other vest's as well!
including the A-1 vest's!
did he not?
but, that was ok!
so basicly, quit cryin, and quit bellyaching, and quit moanin!
either we all get to b*tch, or nobody does!
sounds fair, to me!
how bout you guys?

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
I'm staying the hell out of this one....
I don't mind someone telling my they don't like my vest...really. I don't like someone telling me I'm an 'insult.' Or that I suck.
That's just unfair.
I think my vests are better, cheaper, and more accurate. The coney guy obviously thinks different. We're both trying to bring the best vests we can to market.
And of course on eBay, I'm going to say we have the 'best' vest on eBay. Statements like that are impossible to prove or disprove! It's like saying you have the 'best' baby. Now if I said I had the Least Expensive, that would be a fact and possible to prove. But words like 'best' are used in advertising because they're not quantifiable.
As far as I'm concerned, the only person who can say they have the most accurate vest is the guy on eBay right now selling Cocheise's vest.

SHM i think that when Alex "ripped" on Dale, he was using constructive critism, when you and Dave were ripping on Alex, you werent using constructive critism. Now you can all say what you want about this being about opinons, and harshness but it all comes down to our love for the warriors, and right now were all acting harsh towards each other. And thats not Warriors-like, so I think we gotta lose the hate and be kind to our fellow man like Haterist said.

It's funny that a guy going by 'haterist' is telling us not to 'hate'
Not that I disagree. It's just...amusing.

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
I'll admit in the other thread I was a bit harsh. I apologize. I could not make a better vest. I give credit to someone who tries. My response just before was because haterist jumped on me in THIS thread. This thread was about buying a coney vest which "some" of us here think is better. Hijacking THIS thread to push another vest is not cool and if it's done then all bets are off.? The Mondo guy should stay in his thread, this thread was about the Coney vest.
Once again, I apologize if my remarks were harsh in that thread but in this one, I'm gonna call it as I see it. Can anyone honestly tell me that they think the Mondo vest patch, (the WARRIORS logo) looks right? Honestly. The letters are WAY off. That's my and other members' opinion.
So I will no longer post in the other thread but in this one I will say EXACTLY what I think.
This site should be about the WARRIORS fans first before catering to someone trying to sell a product. That's what everyone's forgetting. These vests are FOR SALE! They are not free. They are not gifts. If you offer a product for sale then you are going to be critiqued. End of story. If you can't take the criticism then, don't read the posts, make a better product or stop making them entirely.
? Peace

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
And I just reread EVERY single post in both threads. Nobody "bashed the guy". Me and others stated our opinions only about the vest. The worst thing I said was that it looked insanely wrong and that I wouldn't pay more than $50.00 for it. That's just my opinion. I said nothing negative about the person. I don't know him. Once again, if he doesn't want his vest criticized in this thread than he should stay out of this thread. This is a thread about the Coney vest. Just because someone donates to the forum that makes them "The OFFICIAL vestmaker"...?!?!?! If a better vest comes along we can't discuss it or try and purchase it? THAT's Crap, brothers.

first and foremost, i appreciate that no ones busting out their pitchforks and nooses?
? last thing i wanted was a discussion to turn into a flame war.?
are you ever reading my posts?? or are you just dismissing it based on the fact that you think you're right?? from your replies, it seems you're still missing the point.? the whole reason for my posting is just for people to be nicer about sharing their opinions, that is all.? you don't actually have to listen to me, i can't force you to be a nice person, i can only make a suggestion and hope.? ?
?
the anonimity of the internet lets people voice their opinions(wanted or unwanted) but the fact is, if you were standing in front of mondotees, you wouldn't be half as harsh.? thats not to say, you're a whimp and you wouldn't tell him how you feel, but its far easier to be OVERLY critical when you're behind your computer screen as opposed to face to face.?
again, thats not to say you're a whimp, thats just human nature....its hard to be a jerk to someone face most of the times.? and i'd imagine if you were having a conversation with him, you'd feel differently, you'd probably end up being really good friends.? ?
?
i know times is tough, i know its cut throat it out there in the real world, but does it have to be like that here?? i don't think so.? if you want to tear someone a new one, shoot the guy a PM instead of trying to publically humilate him and detract from his business.? as i said, if someone showed up at your job and said the things you said, you'd be upset and you'd have every right to be. i don't know if you realize this but when you bash someones business, it is bashing the person himself.? ?
? ?
anyway dudes, its not about being right or wrong(my poor choice of words, sorry) its about being a decent person to your fellow man and treating him/her in the same manner you'd want to be treated. again, i can't force you to do anything, i can't force you to change, all i can do is make a suggestion and hope.

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
i dont think anybody is bashing his buisness.there voicing there opinion on a item.the item we all know is the warriors vest.first of all there were only 9 . the vest is the most sort after item for any warrior fan.im sure alex did go out of his way to have it made, but not out of his way to make it as close as possible. i would say he is not a true warrior fan,but more of a buisnessman.that is why he settled for that vest, being it is a hard to find item.lets say you bought a outfit you thought was nice.would you want your friends to tell you it looks good when they think it looks like s*%t.either way an honest opinion is the only opinion.

this is a perfect case of the pot calling the kettle black, but seeing as you're a "real fan" i guess we have to pay $250+ extra for your vest.

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
Finally sum ppl agree with me that the Coney vest is the very best vest made to date! That thing is pure art.
I love the red color cause it looks similar to the one from the game because Im nto really diggin that brown color to be honest. But seriously that vest is pure genius and great craftsmanship! i love it! to bad......Im broke.
Another great vest to be sum1 elses
I only hope those beauties go to a good owner.

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
thats great, i'm not saying its not worth every penny, but its hypocritical to knock someone else for trying to make a buck when you're doing the same thing. ?its cool man, cause you're a real fan as opposed to all the fake ones walking around out there. ? ? ? ? ? ?charlloots wrote: lol i did get 400 for it

Re: who`s gonna buy a coney vest ?
Yikes!
SHM to the rescue!
Seriously though, I don't mind criticism, but bashing...not so much.
If I had all the time in the world, I probably would have monkey'd around with the patches a bit more. But I have a deadline- August 2nd. On that day, I will be standing on Coney Island, selling to the 3000+ crowd that we're expecting. And I needed to have vests on hand.
And, to make matters worse, I wasted MONTHS with another manufacturer who finally got the design where I wanted it after 3 attempts, and then upped the cost by almost half. So, I had to start all over again.
To paraphrase a total idiot...I mean the defense secretary, "You go to war with the vest you've got."
It's seriously the best I could do with the time constraints put on me. And I've gotten feedback from dozens of people who've bought it, and they seem pretty dang happy. And, many many more who've come into the shop and loved it.
Now, these guys obviously aren't the people who live and breathe the movie like you guys, but I'd say they're fans as well.
As an aside, calling me "not a real fan" is a cheap, cheap shot. After all the work I did to be so diplomatic.
Sigh.
