Just added the patches, quick stitch job, will be professionally stitched on this weekend and will look better  Decided to go with black leather for the background on the warbird, thought it looked better then felt.  I think I figured out why the WarriorCleon patches appear to be too small.  First of all, all of the actors in 'The Warriors' weren't that much different in size to one another.  Some were shorter and others taller, some had more muscle, some less.. but they weren't too far off.  So that brings us to the cut of the vest, in which the width from the neck to the sleeve on most replicas are done too wide, making the warriorCleon patches appear smaller then the screen used patches.  The key to these vests looking 70's, is to make it look more like a tank top, exposing more shoulder, bringing it in on the sides and closer to the top rocker.  Here's some pics of my vest.  Look at the space from the ends of the top rocker, to the diamond trim, pretty wide, when it needs to be brought in a little, at least an inch.  This will give it more that 70's look and now making the top rocker correct in size.  Still happy with how this looks though, can't wait to wear it out.

Thanks Dave.  Yeah, Thats the patch that came attached with it.  I got mine around september last year.  I think it was one of the last ones that dale at A1 sold.  I made a few changes with a bit of acrylic paint.  The horn size and the shape of the nose was the worst offenders.  Its not perfect, but at least ive now got something to wear for the conclave 09.

WarlordSwan, I also believe that the 70's vest were cut shorter than they are now.  They ended above the belt where as now the vests usually fall or hang below the waist.  Your vest looks great.

Thanks Godfather and yep, that is another thing that would give it more that 70's look, plus each vest was probably custom made for each actor.
