Just starting a wizards patch, the letters Wizard look to me like they are pink velour what do you reckon?
**I got an inkling it's gonna be the one the children bicker over, it's that warriors vs baseball fury element that glitches motor sensory developement, i am a star really,**
Set off this afternoon to the material shop to get some pink velour and some silver for the lightning, ended up in the pub instead, oops

the blue in that Electric Eliminators patch from the DVD extras is 100% definatly felt...the blue i choose for my replica has exactly the same texture and colour...the photograph shows the felt fibres.
the red could be cotton but no weave is visible.
the chinese gang costume patch that i saw displayed in a new York subways station was made out of felt...
Not arguing that the EE patch has blue felt almost a dark navy. I just think that not all were pieces of felt and some used other materials. Velor was big and plentyful in the 70's and would be a great mix withe the silver. I think velor is the way to go on a black felt backdrop.
Velour isn't as easy as Felt to cut...
most pile Velour will fray straight away.
of course they'd use whatever materials available...
the Wizards patch looks like black and Pinkish red Felt and silver polyester.
Of course everyone in England has a Dressing Gown/Smoking Jacket,Cravat,a Wooden tennis Raquet,a Cigarette Holder...its Civilised Attire.
I think the pink lettering is velour because you can see its a different colour in places where the light is hitting it, i don't think felt does that.

I think it's velor. It has different depths that felt doesn't have. Yes it's hard to cut, but we are talking about professional costume makers that I think would be able to cut it well.
