Hi all,
Long time (well, sporadic) lurker but just registered with a "what are the chances?" question that if anyone will know, you guys will. Back in 2007, I bought a Mondo Tees Warriors vest. One of my favourite possessions and just love having it. But... I'm a skinnier guy than I once was and it was always a little big at the Large size I got.
That was a long time ago and I know Mondo stopped doing those but even a few years ago I thought I should have a look and see what the chances are of locating a smaller size because it's way too big (not even sure medium would be right...). It has been in a wardrobe ever since and, rewatching the movie last night, it came to mind again. And I thought, what are the chances of anyone being in the opposite situation to me? Someone who has a smaller size but wishes they had a larger one?
I know there are other companies that made Warriors vests over the years but I love the Mondo one and I'd probably keep it if I couldn't find another. But I guess the first question would simply be to find out if there were loads of these made or are they like gold dust? If there were a good few in circulation, I might find a straight swap but I imagine they were probably very limited. Do we know how long Mondo sold them for?
Any general info would be appreciated, even if it was a "no chance, mate" or "yeah, possibly so go looking".
TIA.

Re: Smaller Mondo Tees vest for Large
They do on rare occasions, pop up on ebay. It's where I got both of my mondo vests from. I prefer my medium size over the large. Mondos medium is the same as the Pakistan made vests size large.
I find the mondo vest has a better shape to it and the softer leather feels better to wear. Its colour/shade lets it down, as does the piping.
If you cant find a replacement, I suggest trimming the sides down and folding a new seam up to the pocket piping. You can also hide the horizontal back seam with the rocker if you reposition the patches.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for one on ebay. Got to admit, I didn't consider the idea of modifying it. That's definitely an interesting idea and one I'll look into, thanks.
