I just finished a kunoichi knife, but please show a pic, or give a description, and i shall see.
It's a knife that fires out of it's own handle, it looks the same as a OUT THE FRONT switchblade but the blade actually fires. think it's proper name is a ballistic knife or a spetsnaz knife.

It's a bit harder than that. The firing mechanism is commonly gunpowder based, hence it's title of a ballistic knife. The handle would either have to work like a miniture shotgun or use the compressed gas/air method. A spring powered projectile knife wouldn't be much mor powerful than a kids toy.

Unless the spring is so tightly wound that it fires with great power. however i would never use gunpowder in a knife or gas for that matter, too risky.

Besides, they are illegal to posess in the US since 1980.

The balistic knife is spring loaded and pretty deadly, check the vid at about 2:05 and 5:10 to see a demo and a example of how it might be used to kill:

Gods, what have I done here? I bring up the Flying Dutchman, and now everyone wants one. I fear I
have planted a bad seed in your minds.

The ballistic knife isn't gunpowder based. It has nothing to do with a "bullet". Just think of the ancient
war machine the ballista. It's pre-gunpowder, and is like a giant tortion crossbow that would fire a huge
bolt, and skewer several enemies at once from across the battlefield. the ballistic knife is 100% spring
powered. It's not just a stilleto where the blade shoots out of the handle instead of locking into place.
It's bigger and bulkier.

Hmmm...Kunoich Knife?, as in a female Ninja agent? Sounds kinda cool, So that would be a "Tanto"
knife. If any of you bring up the Lone Ranger...just please don't.

hey guys, just wanted to update you with that i successfully completed the balistic knife. i have a titanium spring which is quite thick and long wound in the bottom of the handle, it is so tightly wound that it flies an incredible, and yes this is tested, 60 feet, if aimed correctly. it is a pain in the ass to get the knife in place again tho, since it is out onto a steel cyylinder to give it a little extra bottom weight, and the knife itself is about as long as a hand. photos will be up as soon as i manage to get a camera.

sorry bout the dubble post, but just wanted to say, yes, in a way, but the knife itself is no "tanto" it has a very different shape, and is just called kunoichi blades.
