I THINK THAT CHICAGO GANGS ARE MUCHS INTERESTING THEN NYC CHICAGO STREETGANGS WERE KNOWN TO WEAR COLORS AND GANG SWEATERS WHICH ARE PRETTY COOL.

no, i think that NY was perfect for the warriors, i think it where the book is set and it was a gang infested city at the time

Yeah, Chicago would be terrible for this sort of thing just because of the layout. New York is incredibly long from the far northern areas to the far southern areas, while Chicago is just a big blob. Also, New York has a cooler subway system.

New York is perfect you couldn't get a more brilliant setting for a movie like the Warriors.

Yeah and u can't forget they are bringing back the Black Stone Rangers and The Black Panthers. Who thought a gang from the 1960s would be back. This time im sure it wouldn't be helping young african americans getting a education. Anyway, he not supposed to be talking about real gang activity. The reality of the warriors movie, is perfect withought adding real life situations.

O.k. I was just about to ban this cat, but he hasn't posted since. New York is just fine. As we know, they are going to try Los Angeles, but that's has flopp writen all over it. Oh and these are fictional gangs not real gangs.

Ye New York was perfect 4 the movie, I think it's not only a gangs&colurs problem... The City was/is really the right enviroment 4 it!!! I don't think L.A. will be the same, too! 8)

Is this person absolutely mental...insane...out of his mind?!?!? The Warriors in Chicago?!?!? I don't know much about Chicago but I can say one thing...their subway system isn't as great and huge; graffiti was the art that defined New York City in so many ways...NYC was known for that...maybe there are/were more gangs in Chicago but NYC was crazy back then...crazy enough for it to be the perfect setting for The Warriorsgee...I wonder what made this guy create this thread and run off...

If that guy was still on I'm sure he would probably curse at me in a chicago kind of way...or have nothing to say because whether its the "poetry" or everybody else's comments it made him keep quiet since nobody has really agreed with him...however it wasn't meant to scare anybody and make them hide in a ditch somewhere :p
And the answer may not have been the best of answers but it tells the truth of how New York is a better setting for the movie

I've never been to NYC myself but it's the one place I'd love to go to 2nd only to Detroit (because of the significance of the juggalo culture in Detroit) but I'm thinking of heading to NYC someday.
