No. I made it myself. There's a very simple reason why it couldn't exist as a ROM. Glad you like it, though.

That's such an awesome avatar.
It would be cool if it was a mod.

Its part of the game. After beating all 18 levels and all the flashback levels, you'll notice a gaming machine in the Warriors' home. And that's what it is - a Warriors River City Ransom.

WRONG!
Nothing like River City Ransom.
At all.
Besides the old-school beatemup-iness.
No, no, no, it's Double Dragon.
Get your classics right.

Heh, wasn't it the Sega version?
I loved that one, there was like a million enemies and they all killed themselves by jumping off random holes or beat up each other.
But there was also an arcade version, I think.

Hm, looks like it to me. Or maybe we're talking about something else? Meh, maybe not.

If you've ever played RCR, you'd know how much Armies of the Night is not like RCR.Wedge wrote:http://www.videogamecritic.net/images/n ... ransom.gif

AotN is obviously Double Dragon. Right down to the intro.

The intro, the garage with the car in it, and the building in the beginning are exactly like Double Dragon. River City Ransom was real fast paced, and everyone would scream out "Barf" or something similar as they die. Double Dragon is more of a karate like fighter, and there's no text when people die.

RCR is also a free-roaming adventure about levelling up, gaining money, and purchasing techniques and food, complete with shopping malls, and sometimes certain requirements to meet bosses.
DD is about walking from far left to far right, pounding heads along the way, then pounding a giant boss.
RCR, all bosses and enemies are the same sprite size. Very short and super-deformed.

Not to mention you can get a few guys to fight with you, as if being in a gang. And i must say, RCR EX for the gameboy advance is awesome. Sprites have more shading and it's just full of richer colors. And it's always fun to just run and throw tires at people.

Actually, the gang feature was RCREX-only.SkateXer99 wrote:Not to mention you can get a few guys to fight with you, as if being in a gang. And i must say, RCR EX for the gameboy advance is awesome.
