cheap and New York don't go together....its just expensive here. theres some cheap hotels(check hotels.com) here and there but you're still going to spend some loot. unless you're not one to care, then you can stay at a hostile or something, but that means you have to carry all your stuff around everywhere you go.

where to go? shoot, theres a million places to post up but it depends on what you like and how old you are.

Depends what you call cheap?

My trip to the Big Apple including 7 nights in a 4* hotel and flights from Gatwick cost a little over 1,000 including tax and all that.

I thought that was quite cheap for New York.

I could have gone for less but, you know you are going to be o.k in a good hotel on Time Square.
