I wonder when will "The Warriors" be included into the National Film Registry ?? because this movie is very influenced. Your opinions?

if boyz n the hood is on there surely the warriors should be!

It will never be, as it is only a CULT CLASSIC and not a film that had an impact on cinema.

Yeah but The Warriors IS a «culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant film», maybe they don't know very well it.

Our little film HAS had an impact on pop-culture, but not to cinema. It did not impact, or change cinema history or anything like that. The flicks on the registry either were different, cinematic history, changed cinema or impacted ALL of society. Remember, the WARRIORS did not do well or was well received. It is just in the last 16 years that the film has impacted other things. I think it may be a long time before we see it on the registry.

Little consolation, but the Warriors made it on the 100 years of paramount poster.

It doesn't show that you posted either. I had to use the mark as read tab to stop this thread from constantly showing. I can't see 4nik8s post either.

It was a test post that i deleted, so it should no longer show

perhaps the database is in need of a re-index...
