land of the dead
wow,the first topic that i have posted and its gone over 1 page.
my thoughts on these movies, i bought the hills have eyes on dvd and watched the american nightmare doc on disc two and thats how i came to first hear about it,at the time i was in to horror flicks so the following xmas i bought the trilogy and this is my opinion on them-
night of the living dead-9 out of 10 creative, original but not a great version of the film to watch(it was the 30th anniversary traetment, the extra music and scenes sucked, but fitted in nicely).
dawn of the dead-10 out of 10 completely blew me away, the action the zombies and the characters(tom savinis character blades and sledge worked very well for me).
day of the dead 8 out of 10,good but too over the top if ya know what i mean.
yo mestizo!! IS BLADES FROM DAWN A ZOMBIE IN THE FILM?
honki!

Yes, Blade sure is Bobo..But its only just a brief cameo..Its cool though..Simon & his other director partner from 'Shaun of the dead' are also cameos in it as zombies, but i couldnt find them..Thats one reason why i'll need to see it again..Oh and that version of 'Night' you mentioned is total crap..i had it at one time and got rid of it..The one you should own that came out after that, which is the ultimate version is the 'Millenium Edition'..It's in a shiny red case..buy it,its got everything you need, Mez

Chicago is awesome, man!!! I go there quite a bit for vacation (it's the only place near enough that taking the train isn't annoying), but I haven't been to a Bears game yet..I want to see them play, though, as Walter Peyton was awesome....soldierheavymuscle wrote:it aint nyc but it aint bad either!!
Recently, I went to the Walter Peyton restaraunt in Aurora, have you ever been there? Great food and a great little museum.

My wife went to DePaul and has shown me around town when we visited a few years ago. Great city. Hope to get there again sometime soon. Demon Dogs, baby!

Just got back from seeing Land of the Dead and......wow.
First off, even the trailers rocked (Joss Whedon addicts like me were drooling during the Serentiy trailer)!
My favorite characters were Slack (reminds me so much of Faith from BtVS...), Riley, Pretty Boy, Charlie, and Cholo.
I DID see Blades, however, he's credited as "Machete Zombie"
Also.....
(possible spoilers)
I LOVED the end. Great how they just made their peace. I think they could coexist. If the surviving humans maybe tossed the zombies a pork loin or something, it could work.
It was great that the black man made it through (ok, he was a zombie, but still, you don't normally see that in horror movies!). Once again, this proves my theory that all the money in the world can't save you if you're a mindless corporate sheep, and that the little scrappy band of rebels will somehow pull through in the end.
And Dead Reckoning.....oh man....That thing was awesome! Now I wanna go start a band called Dead Reckoning. Except maybe with a W in front of the R...

It's DEFINITELY worth the wait; it's awesome! Some people don't like that there were a few instances of CGI, but I really don't care because the one that most people think of is really shocking and cool!
