If you go in the day all the places seemed safe to me when i visited them.

on the topic of The Rogues Scene and then the final walk off down the beach when In the City by Joe Walsh is playing.

I've been searching all the beaches on google earth and it looks to me like it could have been filmed to the west of Rockaway Beach.

There are what look like lots of lines of wooden posts and then some thicker ones that go further into the see.
There is also a lot of Sand dunes there where the Riffs could have walked through?
At the far end of the beach you can see a bigger kind of pier which also appears in the movie.

Could someone else have a look and see if that could be the place.
