Hang Out or Individual Homes

Now when I first saw the warriors, I never really contemplated on heir detailed lives until latter.  Now post people assume they had a hang out, which is fine, after all gnags in reality may have many locations.  But some assume thatthe warriors live there.  Now does anyone think that some had their own individula homes, and that a hangout was a second alternative?  You know, like a Mecca, or a safe haven for warriors in need.  Just like in the warriors book, Ismael had a safe haven for the Delancy Thrones.  But even so, I originally assumed they had indiviual homes.  I am not saying they lived so rich, who knows maybe some rented a room in a basement, or live with a relative, like a normal person. But do some reckon that the hangout is more of a seconf home, rather than a permanent home away from their "PRISON HOMES"?

Ive always thought that they had there own homes, well not houses, that would be far too upmarket i think.
Maybe Cyrus had a house though, or a bungalow at least.
I think they probably had apartments, that where run down, maybe lived there with girlfriends or parents.
When times where tough theyd sleep in the hangout or maybe not sleep at all.


In the warriors book Hinton goes back to his home, where its run down, food on the floor, babies crying, mother getting pleasured by step father.
But it also states that they do have a hangout.

Maybe you are right Adam88, probably they live somewhere different from the base.

Exactly my point GingerWarrior, the bookhelps clarify things as well.  Their individual homes can be a key factor of why they joined gangs in the first place.  Finding your right home, and place can that suits you can be a struggling obstacle and one of many factors we deal with in life.

I've always thought that The Warriors all lived in apartments or even their hangout because they wouldn't spend much time really at their homes they would with their fellow gang members.

In the Warriors story I was writing last year, I set it up so that the older Warriors had rooms with mattresses where they would crash every night.  Some of the younger ones would of course, have homes to go to, but spent most of their available time at the hangout.  Then you have to consider that a great deal of gang members may simply be runaways, so they would need a place to convene for refuge.  I guess I figured the older ones had more of a choice what they wanted to do...  Since we never got to see what the REAL inside of the hangout looked like (since the game doesn't count), and the building looked so huge, I imagined it would be able to accomodate that living situation.

I dont think that the warriors would be able to afford a house i just think they sleep in the hangout or at hotels because i dont think they would have much money being in a gang they would not have time to work or do anything else if they did have a house they would have to pay a morgage and bills so i dont think that the warriors have there own house i just think they live in the hangout.

Good point SnowGlycerine, like I said, its a safe haven for some.  Those who want to escape their former lives.  So I wouldn't say they all live there, but its like a holey temple for those who nedd to escape "society" ounce in a while.

i think most of them would of been able to afford some kind of apartment, maybe they rent flats. i think that some of them would have to stay at the hangout such as the poorer members and someone would also have to protect it from rival gang attacks because if they all went home then the next day i'm pretty sure it would an empty, burnt out shell of a building. its a very good question, makes you think about what you would do if you were in a gang.

I could imagine that some of The Warriors has some sort of an alternative home to go to, but yes more likely less time at their home to be with The Warriors or some of them probably don't even have a home to begin with and just stayed at the Hangout. Not saying they all had an apartment or an actual house but more likely atleast a few of them had a place to stay of someone they know that allowed them to stay. No doubt they had somewhere to stay rather it's a home or their own hangout.

i think that they would hav small flats and maybe some of them share places and then hav a hangout where they go to meet up and where a warrior could stay if they had nowhere else to go if they had been kicked out of their house or somthing like that
