Has anyone read this book? Its about four friends that live in New york during the 1960s throughout 1990s. It is a narrative book. It talks about them growing up as kids and such. One day they go to juvenille for hurting a guy with a hot dog cart. They also face punishment and severe consequences in Juvenille as they try to survive the beatings of guards and molestation from the guards. They grow up and two of them become hitman while the other two become lawyers. Has anyone read it???

I liked this book.

I've seen the movie, But I didn't know there was a book. I might pick it up now. Although the parts when the kids are raped really bothered me.

It was a movie? I haven't seen the movie. I agree when I first read the book the part when the kids got raped kinda surprised me.
