I found out about this book on Barnes & noble's website and had to get it from my library through interlibrary loan which was even cooler because it came from a library not far from the actual neighborhood. it's about this guy's time growing up in the 80s in a big time Chicago street gang The Gaylords during immigration. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an inside look at how real life gang stuff went down back then. I was amazed at how accurate it was to The Warriors. it even mentions The Warriors during the course of the book. A rival gang is looking through the Gaylords neighborhood and they still the come out to play line. five out of five stars.
