I never read a real description of any of those three.
It always seems to mention what they are doing, but not really what they looked like or any real physical descriptions. I was just looking through it and never found what you are looking for, but someone else may read closer than I am right now.

I think Sol might have meant in the way they dressed I'll have to read the book again to find it out.

I think their intention in the book was to all look the same to show solidarity, like the gangs in the movie.

I Don't believe the characters in the movie were all meant to look or act like the book characters. Just by mere chance that Hector was similar to Swan, Arnold was similar to Cleon, and Lunkface was similar to Ajax.

yeah I guess it was just simply left for the imagination. When you use your own brain, the possibilities of the mind are endless. Its all how we portray it.
