Detailed fighting.

Post by Baby Bear »

I hink the Warriors game should have more detailed fighting. For instance it could've been detailed like the Godfather action scenes. To think about the happenings and fights in the warriors game it isn't really believeable. It should be more like real life. For example a guy gets punched in the nose and he falls to the ground and holds his bloody nose crying. See something like that.

Anyone agree?

i think that the fighting in the warriors game was brilliant. i would find it really annoying if every time you or someone got punched in the face, they rolled on the floor holding their nose.
i think that if it aint broke don't fix it, and the warriors certainly aint broke.

Baby Bear fight details are good, like "Godfather" fights. You know in real life sometime only 1 punch is enough, in the game would be impossible get a fight like this... I instead thought to find more details about subway stops(al least can explore better Movie's stops)... and NY City 1979 map, more detailed than Subway(MTA) 1979 map( where you can re-play levels). 8)

Ok if it would be any more detailed we'd see blood spills on the screen how much more detailed can you get there ok it's not good god this is on the dot, but were talking about the company whoch made the gta games the most detailed fighting you're gonna get with a little bit of fun put in there. So they knew what they were doing without making it too gta.

Imo, this is one of those things that sounds like a good idea in theory, but wouldn't work well in practice. At best, it's pretty irrelevant, at worst it'd slow down the actual gameplay, and since the Warriors is a beat em up, this would hurt it quite badly.

Even in the movie, the fights weren't exactly true to life, and Walter Hill admitted that this was deliberate.

There is nothing wrong with The Warriors fighting system it doesnt need any other details to it. I especially enjoyed the Specials that each of The Warriors has and the fighting is more realistic i mean if you throw someone on the ground and then start beating them up you can kind of feal the pain or if you use a brick and smash it on their head. The fighting is great. If the whole"punch in the nose and fall over crying" theory ever hit onto the game people would get annoyed and likely complain about that about the game. I would get annoyed if lets say an Orphan member hits me and then suddenly fall to the ground and rolling for the past 5 minutes and wait to get back up to fight back... wouldnt work.

IMO, I think it's fine as it is. If you didn't already know, Walter Hill said in an interview, that the violence in the movie is meant to be highly exaggerated. To kind of assure the audience, that the action was not realistic. So, I think, there is really no point in changing the whole fighting system just for the game anyway.

The only that I don't like as far as the fighting setup is that it would be cool if rather a leader of each gang (minus The Warriors) had their own moves. A few members of other gangs of different moves but most of them just has a 2 hit move. That's the only small thing I dislike but still very much enjoy playing as each gang.

But I am sure there was a scheduel to keep in making that portion so its not a big deal.

Yeah once you think about it is fun to do things that are out of line like setting someone on fire and they still want to fight.

i think that the fighting is good how it is.
Now if i could make one thing more deatiled though(this makes the game sound way to exaggerated though), i would make certain characters, after they have killed heaps of people, go massively bezerk and they can do some special moves etc..., Take Ajax for example, once he gets this BEZERK thing he punches someone and they go like flying 15metres in the air backwards and then like fall on the ground coughing out blood and eventually die. And also the punching style and the way the person flys in the air varys every time.
Thats pretty much all i would change if i wanted the game over exaggerated but if not, i would keep it as it is because its fine. :D :D :D
