Didnt know wether to put this in here or the Games section.

Well i was at a local youth club the other day and there was a dusty old arcade game in the corner, Me and my friend went over to give it a go and when it loaded up the opening scene was a woman beinig kidnapped and 2 men stepping out of a car garage with a car in it.
Pretty much exactly the same as Armies of the Night except for the Characters of course.
Do any of you hardcore old school gamers out there know what this game is called?

Ginger Warrior,I think you will find it is called Double Dragon,It was a cool ol'Skool beat em up arcade game back in the day

Yeh it was pretty cool to play once we had wiped the dust of the screen 

Man, that first Double Dragon kicked a$$. If I had a 10p for the amount of 10p's I put in those machines back then I'd have... err...... all my money back?! Nah, let's just say LOADS.

The best thing about it was the two-player mode, coz right at the end on the last level, you'd have to fight each other to win the girl. It was rare that me and my brother would get that far before turning on each other though  :p.

Absolute classic.

PS. If you have a look at CompanyScum's avatar, you'll see the infamous intro bit where the girl gets taken  .

double dragon classic game, i remember tyhat wen i was a kid and streets of rage i think the armies of the night was to kinda bring back old times, games like double dragon streets of rage and golden axe will never be forgotten in my mind

That's totally right on.  I had forgotten about double dragon, I think they even made a movie for it in the 80's.  That game was such the rage before tekken or street fighter.  Good find.

yea there was a movie in the 90s with Mark Decascos and the younger brother from Party of five I can't remember his name lol

How did i forget about the Double Dragon movie,lol.It was one of the first game-movie tie ins,1993.Awesome & Well funny  Think it started of a craze with Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat following suite !!

Speaking of Double Dragon, that game became such a classic, I am surprised it was never re-newed, and given another story line.  I mean after all Super Mario does it, as well as Tekken.  Oh well, those were the days.

Wouldnt it be cool if back in the day they actually brang the warriors out on arcade.

yeah wouldnt be as good as the rockstar but for back then yeah would have been cool, when i 1st went on it i actually thought it was a game from the past they jus added into the game lol

When I first saw that scene, I thought it was the tipical Mario, Peach, Bowser/Donkey Kong scenario. Peach gets captured by Bowser/DK, and Mario has to go save her. That's what everyone who was sitting around me thought too.

I think "Armies of the night" is a mix between Double Dragon and Final Fight.
Everybody knows about Double Dragon so no explanation is needed but about Final Fight you can notice similar things like display opponents' name and energy, some fight move or you can't climb anything etc.

They just put it in the game as a extra before the warriors game was made their was an arcade version of the warriors so that is what it is based on.

armies of the night is based on double dragons and made for the warriors game...not before
