I like all sorts of music, I like post-hardcore better than real hardcore to be honest, and some metal. I really like White Zombie though. Slipknot has way too many members, on the top of the fact that they suck. It's like their freinds wanted to be in the band though they had no musical talent, and they couldn't say no, so they're like "hey man, just...uh...just hit this keg...yeah"

Recently I've been listening to Hellogoodbye, GWAR, Idiot Pilot, Kiddo, Throwdown, etc. I'm wierd to mix indie and metal.

Well, Slayer and Cannibal Corpse I never really got into. Slipknow though, they were probably the first metal band I liked and I kinda got into metal because of them. So IMO they're a bit of a modern classic when it comes to metal music.

Otherwise I'm very much into System Of A Down and Fear Factory. Mostly I like weird forms of hardcore though. Totalt Jävla Mörker, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Beecher, Fantômas, The Melvins and such.

I like the weird styles of these hardcore bands, because they make music that sounds truly origional. As much as I like Lamb Of God, As I Lay Dying, Darkest Hour, etc, their music sounds like music that I've heard before. That's not to say that makes their music bad, not by a long shot, just that I prefer more origional sounding bands.

Cool to see another DEP fan around :D Favorite album/song? Right now my favorite song has got to be "Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants", it just has so many different styles in there (even though "Miss Machine" had to grow on me I like it now) however my favorite album has to be "Irony Is A Dead Scene", you just can't beat Mike Pattons crazyness and songs like "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things" and their cover of "Come To Daddy"

Thanks for the heads up for Drowningman, can you reccomend any songs by them?

If i have to choose from one of the albums it would have to be "Calculating Infinity" i'm massive fan of that whole Lp.
Irony is crazy as hell ! some of the songs on that ep are like 3 tunes all wrapped in one!
As for Drowningman check out this http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=110Z ... 5Z6VKSLLRW

Its a really good ep they did and pretty much lets you hear what they're all about :)
Download it and enjoy!

Thanks a lot, I'm downloading now, I'll let you know what I think when I give it a good listen. Have you heard Fantômas? They have a kind of creepier DEP sound going for them.

Yeah they never come anywhere remotely near me when they do their European tours, which is a damn shame.

I listened to Drowningman btw, very good stuff I must say. They remind me of DEP meets 36 Crazyfists.

Eh, I like Slayer's early stuff like Reign In Blood, but I can do without Slipknot. It bugs me that Slipknot has like 6 guitarists and 32 drummers and 4 bassists and 3 1/2 singers. Never listened much to Cannibal Corpse.
