Scariest game you ever played

twisted metal black is pretty much the scariest game I have ever played. All the characters in the game are so disturbing like Sweettooth and No-face. I have not picked up that game since nor have I attemtpted to take it out my case of games and play!!!! Thats how scared I was.

Scariest game I ever played? I can't decide between Resident Evil 1 or Nemesis, Silent Hill 2, or Clock Tower.

Resident Evil 1 and 3 for obvious reasons. I truthfully never really liked the second one. For me, the third one is the best.

I never played Silent Hill, but I have played Silent Hill 2, and I think I nearly crapped myself playing that game many times, like when you run over by a truck and a monster runs out from under it...

The first American Clock Tower game was pretty creepy, too. Scissorman was fast, and hiding was hard to do sometimes.

i think res 4 is quite chilling but its only scary when the jumping chainsaw dudes chase you and it takes lots of bullets to kill that dude, also manhunt is cool because it is atmospheric all the way through the game.

hmm...I haven't played alot of scary ones. And I haven't passed the entire thing but I would have to say Resident Evil 4. It just creeped me out when I saw that woman hung.

you mean the one on the wall in the little shack at the beginning right?it scared the (:roll:) out of me and my friend! but i guess it was good because when you get that scared you get a little less recieveable(is that how to say it?) to the rest of the scary stuff.

when i was younger i had Zelda ocarina of time for N64 and i remember i got stuck because i didnt want to continue after i had come to this very scary place where if you stayed to long you got picked up and killed by
creepy things that hung from the roof...still dont want to play that part although i have finished the game... 8-[

Oooo.... I remember Sanitarium. That game WAS scary; it was even scarier than Darkseed.
(there's a couple of titles for the oldskool gamers here!)
I would have to agree with a lot of you about Silent Hill 2; that's gotta be the most frightening game I've ever played. Not only was the environment of isolation, low visibility and decay, combined with the feeling of vulnerability that I had from beginning to end. In Silent Hill 2, I hated crossing paths with a monster; particularly those armless things that would spit mist in your face, and slither away to recuperate when they got hit. This is the opposite of the way I feel in shooters, where I'm like, "Bring it on!"

I dont really play many scary games. Ive played a bit of F.E.A.R which was pretty creepy.

But not to sound like a bit of a wimp . .  I jump sometimes when im palying king kong and them catarpillar snake things laucnh themselves at your face and attach to you.
Makes me jump a bit,

Well Silent Hill game me the creeps.  I can't believe how horrible the movie depicts the game.  You can get a better fright out of the game rather then the movie.

resident evil games were scary to play!, silent hill aswell, and that alone in the dark was freaky as hell them games get your heart beat going like mad

The scariest game i have ever played would be dino crisis for ps1 that is a very freaky game.
