You can't deny that he is a good player, but with all the steriod talk and his selfish" all about me" arrogant attitude I can't help but not like the guy.

You know, every generation has its guy like bonds.  But 20 years from now he'll be Mr. Congeniality.
Case and point: Reggie, Macenroe, all the other jerky 70's guys are loved today.  Probably because they were great.

I agree.  Every player at some point has been great.  Unfortunately some have depended on some other sources the achieve great performance.  But hey sports are like rock bands, no matter how much of a bad attitude or bad image they bring upon themselves, they are still great.

(*)...meaning?  I read that he called ecko and idiot for paying alot for that baseball.

It means that his 756th (somewhere around there) home run is disputed because of his alleged steroid use. This is the main reason Bonds called Ecko an idiot. I'm siding with Marc Ecko on this one.

I never got this.  If a player is using drugs or anything to achieve a better performance and it against the rules, why not send a message and kick anyone who does this out!
