My new story (finally)

[Cowboy Is Cool]

So yeah, here's my new story, it's been way too long since my last one. I can't think of a name for it so if anybody can hook me up with one I'd really appreciate it. The first chapter is going to be a shorter introduction chapter of sorts, taking place in the middle of the story.

Chapter 1: Aftermath

  Ace sat in the corner of the old garage, wondering how the hell he got himself into this. Bobby and Kai were arguing in the center of the room, and Lexi was leaning against the large bay doors, doing something with her cell phone. The hostage was still tied up on the chair, looking around wildly, no doubt scared sh*tless. The dead body was getting blood all over the place, but nobody seemed to care. Whatever. That wasn't Ace's fault. Not by far. A sudden loud rumbling noise shook the room, and Ace grabbed his bat, holding it in a death grip.

  It was just a big rig truck passing on the highway. He relaxed, putting the bat back down. The acoustics in this old school were messed up- the highway must have been a mile or two from the building, but yet a truck could still be heard passing by clearly. Huh. Bizarre. He looked around again. Bobby had his MP5 submachine gun pointed at the bay doors. He was quite possibly the most paranoid- and stupid- of the group. Not that any of them were smart, trying to pull off a robbery like this. Kai had one hand on his pistol, which was safely tucked in his belt.

  Lexi was now standing close by the hostage, her cell phone away. Once Bobby was absolutely sure that it was just a passing truck, he lowered his gun and turned his attention back to Kai, who had also relaxed. "Well Kai, the cops saw you, they have a f*cking RECORD on you, they're going to know who you are..." Kai shook his head and gave Bobby the most smug look Ace had ever seen. "F*ck you, they don't know sh*t, we're fine." Bobby threw his arms up, the gun still in his right hand. "THEY SAID YOUR NAME!"

  Ace pulled out his Ipod and put it on shuffle, putting the earbuds in his ears and resting his head on the wall. He was sitting on a desk of some kind, and he now nearly drifted off to sleep, listening to Black Sabbath. Today was going pretty friggin' bad. And little did he know that it would get worse and worse as the day went on...

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Anyways, there's no action in the story yet, just a little more plot development.

Chapter 2: Arrangements

   From the second Bobby stormed into the apartment, Ace knew something was wrong. Bobby was a calm guy, and he seemed really p*ssed now, almost to a point of rage. He threw his John Deere cap on the floor and stormed into the kitchen, where Ace was eating a bowl of cereal. Bobby sat down across from him. "So, what happened?" Ace asked, looking at Bobby.

   "Oh, they fired me! Can you believe it? They f*cking fired me!" Ace shrugged. "You hated your job anyways, you were always snapping at customers and sh*t, I mean, why worry? You'll get another job." Bobby bolted up, walking to the fridge to get something to drink. "No man, you don't understand, remember that night me and you went out drinking, and we ended up in the casino, and we started to gamble? Like, we gambled ALL f*cking night?" Ace thought about it, then ate a spoonful of cereal.

   "Vaguely." Bobby searched the fridge with his eyes, found nothing, and slammed the door shut. "Well, after you left, I stayed for a while more, and I made a dumb f*cking mistake and bet on a poker game that was being played there. Well, I lost. Horribly. I ended up owing some punk $5,000." When Ace heard this, he was grateful that he wasn't chewing, or else he damn well might have choked. He jumped up. "5,000 bucks? Where the hell are you planning on getting that kind of money?" Bobby let out a humorless laugh.

   "Well, I was supposed to be getting a bonus with my paycheck at the end of this month, and with that, combined with the money that Cid owed me, I would have enough. But now that I'm fired.... well, you know." He buried his face in his hands. "I'm dead! That kid has some serious connections. I forget his name, Leon something-or-other." Ace had lost his appetite and was now busy dumping the cereal down the drain and running the garbage disposal. "What can we do now?" he asked, putting the bowl in the sink.

   Bobby looked up at him. "I don't f*cking know." Ace smiled. "Well hey, we can always rob a bank or something!" He laughed, but Bobby didn't seem to catch the sarcasm in his voice. "Oh my God, that's a brilliant idea, man!" Ace looked at him. "Um, no it's not. I was joking." He sat down at the table again, followed by Bobby. "Oh come on, man! All we have to do is pay some criminal to help us out, we'll pull it off, and I can pay Leon!" Ace shook his head. "I don't know, man." Bobby frowned.

   "Come on, man! We've been friends since middle school! Do you wanna see me killed or injured or crippled or something?" Ace thought about it. Well, it's not like he wouldn't want to do it. Hell, Ace was a little... crazy. He was plain psychotic, to tell you the truth. He just didn't like the idea of getting arrested and thrown in jail to rot for the rest of his life. But whatever. If they got caught, he could go out in a blaze of glory, like he'd always wanted to. He looked at Bobby. "Alright. Let's do it." Bobby laughed, obviously relieved, and hit the table.

   "Alright, man! Way to go!" He frowned again. "We'll have to think of where to start. We need people, a plan, weapons, hell... we still need a place to rob!" Ace smiled. "One thing at a time. First, let's get that money you have saved up for Leon and hire a professional to join us in the robbery. After that, we can get more people and all."

   Everything seemed good. Maybe Bobby would have been better off owing Leon the money...
