Anyone seen this? it's a decent movie that reflects so much from The Warriors. 

*SPOILER*

A crew of Latino skate punk kids from the ghetto of South Central L.A., take an impromptu skating trip to Beverly Hills after being invited by some rich girls from the Hills area.  This leads to a face off against hostile boyfriends, trouble with the cops, and suspicious locals.  It takes all their strength and night to make their way back home to their turf in South Central. 


Sound familiar?  It has almost the same story line, a bit of dark humor is added though.  It starts a bit slow, but the pace picks up half ways.

Well I saw it about a year ago, so it's not really that new.  It's out on dvd.

That looks like a great movie! Although it is dircted by Larry Clark and I hated Kids, I might actually check this out. There is lots of info on the movie on wassuprockers.com.

Hey, just saw watched this the other day and really enjoyed it. I noticed the Warriors vibe right away. And by the end, especially, you'll see how similar it is to The Warriors.

I watched it again with commentary from the director Larry Clark and he said that when coming up with the second half of the movie, he asked himself what movies has he liked, and he said he's always enjoyed the Warriors.

Awesome, one of my favorite directors is a fan of and inspired by The Warriors. Anyway, definitely check this out. The Warriors influences are very apparent to any big fan.

i've never heard of this movie before, i'll have to watch it, the trailer looks good. i could see straight away about it being warriors-inspired. is it spread over more than one night?

this movie was just all right to me. the kids aren't professional actors, just real (dumb) kids. if i remember correctly their exploits happen within 1 day 1night.

I saw this in Poundland today so I picked it up.

Then I took it to the till and paid for it, put it in a bag and carried it out of the shop.

When I've put it in my DVD player, pressed 'Play' and watched the movie, I'll post my thoughts. About the movie.

Come to think of it; it does hold similarites to The Warriors. Especially the clothing style, I spotted at least one leather vest during the film. A skateboard wouldn't have been out of place in The Warriors as well, although I suppose the roller blading Punk had this covered.

Aussie Park Boyz, I'm sure you'd have all heard of it, it's very very similar to The Warriors lol.
