1. The Killer -John Woo classic with Chow Yun Fat
2. Metropolis -Fritz Lang's 1927 silent film about the future
3. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - Sergio Leone spaghetti western with Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Lee Van Cleef.
4. Casablanca -Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman during WWII
5. Ben-Hur (1959) -Charlton Heston and the chariot race
6. While You Were Sleeping -Sandra Bullock romantic comedy
7. Last Hurrah For Chivalry -A John Woo martial arts flick done in the 70s
8. The Warriors - nuff said
9. They Live -John Carpenter directs Roddy Piper and Keith David
10. Gladiator -Russell Crowe's sword and sandal epic.

70's and 80's films are the best by far! :D

I have all of those films except for Logan's Run and Death Wish - I never even saw them! If they are on a list like that they must be good!! I think I'll check them out.......

Logans Run was a 70's Sci Fi at it's best and Death Wish has Charles Bronsan at his best! Justice with a Magnum!

Logan's Run was an old Michael York film that centered around a rule that everyone was "cancelled out" before the age of 30, if I remember correctly. That was a good film!!! :D

Feck! I only saw this post now. It was on last night and i bloody missed it. Ah well, i just got All The Presidents Men on dvd from eBay, (could that be the movie to fill my #10 spot?) Great film.

The sequels are also good and Arnold movies rule.

Hey Cochise, I watched the Omen last night on a DVD i brought while on holiday in Canada.

Have you seen the other 2 as i would like to buy them but need some advice before spending my pounds?
