Meh, for a plain movie it was great. Though for the simple fact, it was called first class...it was a TERRIBLE X-Men movie. Simply because the only actual first class member in the whole movie is Beast. And I'm slipping I didn't even realize James Remar was in it.

In keeping with Movie continuity, it could only have Beast

For me, the best way to enjoy these films is to recognize that it is simply not the Earth-616 of 1960s Marvel...

I'm suposed to be seeing this tonight. How does this fit in with the wolverine film for continuity?, being that prof x, emma frost and cyclops all appear in that.

I think the best way to view this film is to see it as a standalone movie seperate from Wolverine and the X Men trilogy. So far it's the best film I've seen this year and the Wolverine cameo is superb. I am however a big Captain America fan and if the First Avenger tops First Class I'll be more than happy.

I enjoyed x-men but would have been happier if they hadn't used new or retconned characters. I stopped reading xmen after the onslaught storyline, so I have little knowlege about them after that. ( I heard half of them got de-powered by scarlet witch, banshee got killed and there's another super powered summers brother called vulcan). I guessed who Azeal was but thought that new Angel chick was a bit lame.

I found captain america to be more enjoyable in the first half. The cgi for making him look skinny works really well, even though his voice tends not to match his appearence. Dug the human torch cameo. I'd be happy if they did an invaders adventure for a future installment. The film whisked through his ww2 career a bit too quickly. I would have added a fewof those classic spinning newspaper front page effects as a quick way of showing him being a more significant role in the war than the film portrayed him.
Not many folk stuck around for the avengers teaser at the end.

Yeah, I'd love to see an Invaders movie, The Invaders was my favourite Marvel comic as a kid and I can easily picture Angelina Jolie in a Warrior Woman outfit!
