i dont know what the hype was all about - this movie sucked hard!

If, after seeing this movie (currently in my queue at position 103), and i like it, i will return to this thread to insult you

forrest gump is one of my favorite movies of all time but this is a bad rip-off, and its by the same writer!

I enjoyed the movie...it's based on a true story

its based on fitzgeralds short story.. it should have remained a short story. they dragged this out in a 3 hour movie. big waste of time - the movie is totally predictable unlike forrest gump. dont mind me im upset that i lost 3 hours of my life. btw, that was some horrible acting by the old lady on her death bed, i mean come on? that dying voice is not convincing

I quite liked it. I didn't love it enough to watch it over and over again. (It was way too long) but I really liked the premise of it.

I also sobbed for the last ten minutes of it. My dad was sitting next to me in the theater trying not to roll his eyes.

wow, what an overly rated crappy movie.  brad pitt is one of the worst "dramatic" actors ever.  he should stick to playing supporting characters.  what is worse, criterion bought the rights and released this thing....yuk!
