War of the Worlds

As folks often chat about movies in this section I thought I should advise anyone who hasn't seen War of the Worlds yet to catch it in the cinema before it goes, I thought it was awesome and had me thrilled to the very end. Great Stuff...don't leave it too late!

I haven't seen it yet, but I really like Dakota Fanning! I recently saw her movie Hide and Seek, and it scared me!! It was really creepy and she's such a good actress.

yeah, i heard it was incredible, from everybody!! but, man those end of the world, and disaster movies, scare the hell out of me!!! lolol

i can't help it, i ain't scared of NOBODY, OR ANYTHING!! lolol but those kinds of things, like airplane crashes, disasters, (aliens) lol i guess scare me because you're helpless, ya know? nothin you can do!!! my wife says it's a control issue!! lol like i always have to drive!! but i just think she's outta control!!

Yeah this is a real scary one too....really shouldn't have been a 12A

overrated hype give me the musical version anyday.

much more atmospheric listening to it in the dark and letting your imagination run wild.

I thought War of The Worlds was OK. Batman Begins was better (that comes from someone who usually hates superhero movies!).

Funny thing is killing and stuff won't freak me out, but scenes of just sheer panic and pandemonium do. Perfect example: that scene in the 50's War of the Worlds where it shows the city evacuating, while some kid eats ice cream from a toppled over cart. Just scenes of sheer disorder freak me out, not to mention that that kid simply had no idea what was going to happen.
