I think you got that spot on, i thought De niro was one of the best characters in Jackie Brown, but Michael Keaton stole it for me.
i agree, michael keaton did a great job in this film.  he left the batman persona way behind.  although a good point about deniro's character was mentioned, he still lacks the good acting skills he had.
