Hooligan movies!

Post by prozium »

I'm sure a lot of you have Seen "Green Street Hooligans", or as it is apparently known in other places as just "green street" or "hooligans". I really like football hooligan movies, mainly because of the fights. I liked "Green Street Hooligans" but also in a way I thought it felt "too hollywood".

Football Factory! Now theres a different story! It feels almost like it could be a documentary and the fights are great too. My favorite hooligan movie.

Anybody know of any others or have any favorites or anything?

You should try a film called 'I.D.'. That's a good one. It's about a copper who goes undercover as a football hooligan so as he can join the Shadwell firm. He gets too into it though and becomes top boy. It's got 'Billy Mitchell' from Eastenders in it too!
There's also another football thug film called 'The Firm' with Gary Oldman in it. Some nasty razor attacks in this one.... 'Football Factory' is definitely up there with these two.
'Green Street' didn't impress though because of that one bloke's dodgy accent!!

I heard Irish, Australian, American & a little Cockney. It's all I could concentrate on throughout the whole film! Why not just get an actor that IS cockney?! :-k

Out of football factory and green street which fight is your favourite? Im stuck to pick. Who do you like best? Tommy Johnson gets my vote.

P.S What would you think of Vinnie Jones staring in one being the top boy?

I think Vinnie jones could definately pull off a good hooligan role. He almost had a brief hooligan type role in eurotrip

I love the final fight in Football Factory, so much chaos :D I also like the fight in green street where they ambush the  guys waiting for them at the train station.

Ye I remember it now with the man u firm  I agree with you about the football factory but the green street one against man u firm it is a bit daft with the numbers and the gse get the better of the fight but still fun anyway.
