I love movies so I decided to create a thread where people could recomend their favorite movies to others and also ask others for info on a movie they haven't seen.

I know this has been mentioned already, but if you like The Warriors you should check out The Wanderers - a gang film set in the 60's yet made in 1979. Quite amusing in places. The plot is basically about the life of a "gang". Gang in this sense being a group of Italian lads in NYC and their relationships with family / girls and other gangs. Quite a good film. Picked it up as a bargain in Virgin Megastore, though I see it is dirt cheap online at the moment.

Not as good as The Warriors though! :D

In no set order my top 10:

This is a previous post but as far as i'm concerned it remains the same!

The Warriors
Assault on Precint 13
The Thing
Escape from New York
Death Wish
The Goonies!
Back to the Future
Aliens
Dirty Harry
Logan's Run

70's and 80's films are the best by far!

I know a lot of you aren't too happy about going out on patrol. Just remember this. Out of a street family of 120 plus affiliates, you were chosen for this expedition and that makes you special!

Assault on Precinct 13 is one of my favourite movies too, but now they've remade it. And that annoying midget Ja Rule's in it. I swear, if Ja Rule's in the Warriors remake, I'm gonna hunt him down and I'm gonna take him out. And that's not a threat, that's a promise. Send the word.

I watched the trailer for the new Assault on Precinct 13.

I'm 100% horrified by how awful it looks!

There is, but sadly there's no extras. The commentary by John Carpenter that's on the American DVD isn't on the British Special Edition, which is a bit of a bitch.

This is the link I included. I noticed that the closing parenthesis screws it up.

Ash was the man, wasn't he? I mean, the prologue of the sequels were off, and there were some serious editing flubs, but Evil Dead IS cheese at its best.
