I've been watching a lot of the low budget horror that was once a part of Times Square cinema.
Anyone ever go to an actual showing at Times Square back in the 70's and 80's when you where lucky if you only got mugged when watching the film?

C'mon Jamie, do you really even have to ask?
Sadly, people only seem to remember the XXX movie theaters that were up & down 42nd street. There were just as many theaters showing low budget & 2nd run films, where you could pay 2 bucks and spend the whole day watching.
I've already gone through my whole "those were the days" rant many times before, so I won't take up the space now. But I can distinctly remember that 7 theaters in & around Times Square Have gone the way of the dinosaur since the "renesaince".

You should look up a book called Sleazoid Express- its all about the original cinemas on 42nd Street and the films they showed.
