Several thoughts so far:
1. You are my God.
2. While this sounds good so far for a suedo-futuristic cop thriller (like Minority Report or Demolition Man), I will be forced to publicly kill myself if this has the Warriors name attached to it if and when it ever comes to a theater near me.
3. You might as well attach J-Lo's name to the "young Latina" role as she has hollywood on lockdown for those roles, especially with MTV calling the shots and some of her buddies in the rap biz more than likely to have major roles.
4. Did I mention you are my God????
Thanks Jamie. Many of us have been waiting
a long time to see this.

The opening sounds cool, but it's kinda like a Bladerunner/Judge Dredd/one man army movie, and you know when he said that the kid he shot was #29 that Luther is going to be #30. Damn! That means they completly changed the ending! Marboroprojects is right, this is not going to be a Warriors movie, more of a story inspired by the Warriors. At least they found some kind of logical way to try and get rid of the guns.

I think some things are better left alone, I mean movies have gone down hill as we real movie watchers know it. Nothing can match up against the original Warriors, I don't care if the director, producers, screenwriters, etc. are just borrowing some of the plot. If you are 30 years and older(not to stump on our young Warriors fans, my respect to yous!) you know what I mean, the good ol' days are gone, all this stuff that is "comming out", it has been out man!. This new generation of film makers or even musicians have not come out with anything good. I mean when was the last time you heard some kid say:"man this new band is awesome dude, check out the riff on that guitar" NO! you hear the same stuff we used to say 15 or 30 years ago, Nirvana is good, man that crazy guy from Guns N' Roses can play a mean guitar, or that cat from Led Zeppelin can kill his Gibson. That is why on t.v. you see the same shows over and over, VH-1 no videos, MTV no videos (sucky ones) everything is REALITY SHOWS, I mean when I heard that some show called PUNK'D was coming out, I thought it was going to be a show about tough guys you know, but man was I wrong.

So I hope this so called movie does't come out.

I think the Statue of liberty replaces the Wonder Wheel
The script has Draft on the cover but, i think it a true copy as a lot of effort for the $12 or so i paid.

I have one word. Nay, brothers, not a word, but an image.
;____________________;
I mean, seriously, the script's not too bad so far, but it's not the Warriors, and those guys are never gonna replace the first 9 in my heart, or my mind.

Well that is a given. There is no way to compare it to the original. So it has to be reviewed on it's own...no easy task. Six pages is too soon to really form an opinion. However, I still feel they could have made this movie without using the Warrior name. As Jamie posts more pages we will get a better idea where the script is going.

I see they've already introduced the female Warrior we were all expecting. They had to make her
tougher than most men, didn't they?

I hope that it comes out as a Vasquez-from-Aliens toughness, really. I can see that going so wrong already. I hope that she's not the new "Ajax", too.
But really I wouldn't mind seeing any of them being the new "Fox", if you know what I mean.
Now, what really gets me here, is this film already seems to be more about acceptance and hating what you don't understand, rather than the story of power in numbers and survival. If the early lines are any indication, then that ain't happening here. Also, if it's any indication, the story will probably be altered a bit. It's quite possible, that with current hollywood writing, either she'll tag along or the guy who's apparently replacing Cleon won't die. I'm only going by patterns I've seen, I certainly could be wrong, but I'm just saying, it's a distinct possibility.
I wasn't expecting a direct port of the old Warriors, but I was expecting something that was still really related. I think the first pages that've already been posted shattered that hope.

I couldn't agree more, Dopefish. This is why I don't really understand this being called a remake. They should have called it something else and said the movie was influenced by The Warriors.

Yeah, and now they've turned Mercy into a poor little rich girl instead of a hard as nails prostitute whose father "coincidently" is running for mayor on a platform to get rid of all the gangs and street violence while she dates a gang member (wasn't this an afterschool special?). Is he going to spend all the movie searching the streets for her so he can protect his image while getting an education on street life?
