I wonder will there be as much racial equality in the remake as there was in the origional. That was a great thing about the origional.

Who should play who????

I would make a list, but I honestly cannot think who is right for the parts.

It will be tough to decide the parts for this movie remake! I mean to find people who will fit the character as in the original! I still think that the remake will be nowhere near as good as the original.

I agree, why did they decide to mess with a classic?

I thought the exact same thing for the Amityville Horror remake aswell! Does anyone else like that movie? But still Warriors is the best movie ever made!

Amityville freaked me out when I was a kid. Haven't seen it in years.

How old are you? I'm just 17, so I only saw it on a very old video, but then i ordered the DVD from America because you can't get it in Australia!

I'm 36, I first knew about the film when I was 13. I never saw it in the theatre, but on late night cable television. I taped it the next time it came out -gosh, that was on Beta format I think. In any case, I dubbed it onto a VHS tape and it nearly worn down to magnetic lines before the dvd was released.

adios,

I bought the dvd from amazon.com or whatever it is and i got sent a dvd which is double-sided. One side is the widescreen and the other side is the standard. I thought it was a bit stupid and I was trying to find out if the disc is supposed to have a picture on one side of it.

I think the racial equality was almost a statement that each person can indeed live peacefully with one another regardless of their ethnic differences. It appeared almost like a plea for racial harmony in a certain sense. Perhaps the mixture was intentially done in order to prevent real-life conflict and issues of racial tension -gosh, we have enough of that problem in the world already.

adios,

Oh I agree about the race. Just keep it simple atleast just like the movie.
3 white guys 3 black guys and 3 mexican or puetro rican actors I don't know whether Rembrandt, Fox, and Vermin were Either mexican or puetro Rican. Im still deciding whether Cowboy was one of them or not.

I think cowboy was just your average caucasian. Vermin has a bit of an accent alright, but doen't look puerto rican. The director origionally wanted the Warriors to be an all-black gang. Were they all black in the book? I haven't read it......yet.

Actually they weren't all black in the book neither.
The creator said that he wanted to show racial equality not because it would stereo type blacks but he made he didn't because alot of whites and blacks were involved in gangs at the time.
